A FEELING KNOWN YET UNKNOWN TO ALL: LOVE

The other day I read a story. There was an eighty-five year old man who went for his appointment to the doctor and was in so much hurry to go back to an old age home. When being asked for the reason by the doctor that why he is in such a hurry , the man says I need to meet my wife there who does not remember me anymore as she is suffering from acute case of Alzheimer. The doctor then inquired why did he wants to go if she does not recognize him. To this the man replied, "she doesn't know who am I, but I still know who she is."

This is called  "love".

Please don't judge from the above story that I am going to preach about love. I am just 16, I haven't experienced much of life, but yes I can say that I've lived and learned enough to sense what this four letter word means.

Or let me say, that I've learned enough to differentiate between passionate love and the love which seeks more of companionship. I am 16, so I will obviously like to serve people of my age group here.I am not a saint who will teach and give lengthy lectures about love, I just have my own simple views which totally depend upon my personal observation.

When I look around, I notice that 'real love' is vanishing. People are not contended within themselves, that they have found their true love, but they want to publicize it that "oh yes! I am in love." I think this is the way they enhance their reputation in one's eyes. And cherry on the top, the others actually feel that they did something brilliant.

We have the 'passion' of finding true love. Consequently, we get attracted to someone and we passionately love our significant other. I really couldn't understand this concept. I mean I am not passionate about my mother, or father,or brother so how can I get passionate about my boyfriend or girlfriend. I just love my family, because they are my best friends, my best companions and I care for them.

This simple thing is love. When you find a true friend in someone and you care for him that means you love him, And this love is no different from the love you share with your mother or father. Love is one and it is unitary. It does not have different types or categories.

Now , we must have fought ample of times with our brothers or sisters, mothers or fathers, Then do we completely end our relation with them and separate from them? So, why is this the case with passionate love? If we have found our true love, why there comes a point of what we call break up? Why is the beginning so happy, and the end so drastic?

When you love a person you accept him with his flaws. But, one day suddenly everything finished and you are sad about it, and instead of talking with your so called love you talk to other people and socialize it.

With social media coming up, each and every moment of our life is  shared with million others. Whether you are sad or happy, it is ought  to be shared with everybody.

What kind of love is this, when it cannot be remained just between two of them. When you have a fight with your best friend, do you really want to publicize it? No. We feel it's right talking to that particular person. But, when it comes to your partner, your status on social site changes.

We teens have changed the dimensions of love, For us, I guess love is confined only to going on romantic dates, long night chats and above all socializing. We in fact move in opposite direction. We want to love, so we find it. But, love is natural. It just happens and that goes on for life long. It never needs a full stop.

We need to change our perspectives. We need to broaden our thinking and come out from that social web. The love that youngsters experience is often filled with insecurity, lack of freedom and trust, which in my opinion are the antonyms of love.

Passionate love is just momentary fascination, whereas companion-ate love is eternal. True love is not restricted only to dates and chats. True love is when a man marries an acid attack victim, when an eighty year old couple goes for may be a candlelight dinner, when you don't mind your boyfriend complimenting some other girl or simply when you sleep on your mother's lap and enjoy.

I may be 16, I still may not know what actually love is, but I know that this is the love I desire for.

For now, I am signing off with LOVE to all my readers. :)

TERRORISM- WHAT PATH DOES IT LEAD TO?

When I hear this word- terrorism, the only question which comes to my mind is why terrorism? Is it benefiting anyone of us in anyway? Perhaps to those whose  exhibiting of terror attacks become successful when thousands of innocent lives are snatched. Right? May be when there are dead bodies lying everywhere in one country there is a grand celebration happening in another country.

Did you notice what I wrote here? “Celebration happening in another COUNTRY”. This means that everyone in that country is joyous and contended. NO! Majority of us think this way. We blame everyone and start developing prejudice for that country’s people where actually who are involved are conceivably very few.

Unaware of the reality we make our relations more and more cruel with that country. But, in my opinion this is totally insane. Just think the other way. We all are gifted with only one life and this is so precious. While on the other side some people ruin it completely. We keep fighting and fighting and fighting. Why couldn't we en-root world peace?

I don’t want to point out any particular country or any particular attack, for I guess we all know what  all has happened recently. People are not even fully recovered from one attack and there is explosion at another place. Everybody has started living in so much terror! Where ever we are, in a train, a bus, cinema hall, office, school, you never know but anything can happen the next moment!
What is the result of all this? Nothing, but pain, pain and more pain.

If one loses and the other wins, what is going to happen? Everything will eventually end up one day. So, why not get engaged in constructive work and utilize this life by making it efficacious.

People who really had high dreams, were doing something productive for themselves and their country, also had to give up their lives for no reason, but sadly in an attack. Think what kind of dejection it is for their loved ones. Did they do something so wrong that their only punishment is death? What an irony is this! People who actually do some wrong are not castigated for years and those who are innocent are killed ruthlessly. Moreover, that thought of even imagining that any one of us who is watching the news now also could have faced that very situation, cause goose bumps.

I don’t want to go in deeper details, but the simple message I want to convey is that all this leads to no victory. It is only the defeat of the whole world no matter which part experiences such situation. We should be ashamed of ourselves that born with so much intelligence we human beings are deteriorating it by applying all our knowledge on how to make more explosive nuclear bombs! This way what world are we going to leave for our future generations? What will we teach them? Just imagine without terror attacks what great heights this world will lead to!

There is a true saying- terrorism is not the pursuit of legitimate goals by some part of illegitimate means. Whatever the murderers may be trying to achieve, creating a better world certainly isn't one of their goals. Instead they are out to kill innocent people. So, terrorism is surely the most destructive action ever. The easiest yet the most difficult way to stop terrorism is- stop participating in it, because terrorism is itself a war so there could be no war for terrorism.
